  Nominal diameters of our very small micro set screws (mini set screws) are M1, M1.2, M1.4, M1.6, M1.7, M2, M2.3, M2.5, and M3. Lengths are 1.0mm, 1.1mm, 1.2mm, 1.3mm, 1.4mm, 1.5mm, 1.6mm, 1.7mm, 1.8mm, 2.0mm, 2.5mm, 3.0mm, 4.0mm, 5.0mm and 6.0mm. Pointed tip shapes of our very small micro set screws (mini set screws) are "flat point", "cone point" and "oval point / round point". Materials are steel or stainless steel.  We are manufacturing the set screws in the cutting work.  So, concentricity of the threaded portion and the cone portion is less than 0.01mm.

 Generally, in a cam-type automatic lathe, the screw thread will be manufactured by a cutting die.  When manufactured in a cutting die, the breaking of "the screw thread triangular top part" sometimes occurs.
 As it is, because we are manufacturing the screw thread by the byte chasing processing in the same way as a NC lathe, the breaking of "the screw thread triangular top part" does not occurs.

 The material of the slotted set screws in this table are stainless steel (JIS SUS303 equivalent).  We have the cone point slotted setscrews made of free-cuttong steel (SUM24L equivalent) in our standard.

 Rotation of the slotted setscrews is done in the slotted screwdriver.  Rotation of the hexagon socket setscrews is done in the hexagonal handle.
 In which case the rotation of the small setscrews of less than M1.6, the slotted setscrews is does not become useless holes than the hexagon socket setscrews.

 When you tie up a round shaft by the tip of the cone point set screws, it damage on outer diameter surface of the round shaft.  For the purpose of not damaging the outer diameter surface of the round shaft, a portion of the round shaft has a flat portion.
 But, the position adjustment of the flat portion and setscrew, require great care with the time of parts assembly.  Insofar as the round shaft has a flat portion, when cone point setscrew or cup point setscrew is using, will be possible to tie up more firmly.
